Horsham Cricket Club

Introduction

Junior Cricket at Horsham was established in 1959 by Dr John Dew MBE (President of the Club from 1964 to 2008) and by the early 1970's he had created a legendary coaching structure at the club, which became a model throughout Sussex and elsewhere. He encouraged and respected all young players, girls as well as boys, whatever their age, ability, creed or colour. Dr Dew was recognised and respected for his lifelong dedication to junior cricket and his legacy to the club was the example he set - that is to strive to win, but always fairly and with respect for the opposition and team mates. "The Dr Dew Way" In recent years the club has achieved Clubmark status, a formal acceptance of policies and procedures that have been established since the early years. In 2014 we achieved re –accreditation of our Clubmark status.
