Horsham Sports Club would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who braved the weather to support Horsham Fireworks Night on Saturday 28th October, 2023.
The heavy rainfall made this outdoor event a challenge. The safety of our attendees was our absolute priority and the event organisers and our pyrotechnic team were closely monitoring the meteorological weather map throughout the day and during the event.
Why did we decide to go ahead in such heavy rain?
We completely understand the disappointment with the weather conditions however, we cannot cancel or postpone an outdoor event of such magnitude, which takes months of planning and organisation, due to the rain, unless there is a threat to public safety.
Thank you to our event sponsors, Schroders and Benchmark, to our vendors, to the funfair, our team of dedicated staff and volunteers, event medics and security and everyone else who supported us.
