Set in the heart of the beautiful West Sussex countryside, Horsham Sports Club has been at this magnificent location since 1851. The clubhouse and picturesque ground overlook Denne Hill yet are only a five minute walk from the town centre. Membership of Horsham Sports Club is great value for money and offers access to the clubhouse facilities as well as club events. We currently have over 1000 members in the Social section or one of the four constituent sports clubs – Cricket, Hockey, Squash and Tennis.

Events at the Club include the annual Fireworks Evening, ‘Big Gig’ Music Festival, and Beer Festival; as well as monthly Jazz evenings with the 16 piece Freddy Woods Orchestra; Regular Quizzes, Band Nights and Comedy Nights, plus many social and fundraising events run by the sports sections.

Club Facilities include…

Large well stocked bar with Free wi-fi, Sky TV and BT Sport, Pool Table and Darts

A large function room (The Clubroom) with bar available for private or corporate hire (plus optional catering available).

A smaller upstairs Gallery Room suitable for meetings or small gatherings.

Please note due to current Covid restrictions there are different arrangements in place for hiring rooms for functions and events.

Sports Facilities include

9 tennis courts (5 hard with flood lighting and 4 grass)

3 squash courts

2 cricket pitches, plus outdoor grass and artificial nets

On site parking for members and visitors whilst using the facilities. (Weekday permit parking is also available – please email hsc@horshamsportsclub.com if you are interested)

The Bar at HSC

Chris Shambrook (aka Shaka) is bar manager at HSC and welcomes members and non members. His well stocked bar includes guest ales from local breweries such as Weltons, Hepworths, Dark Star and Harveys.

La Creperie at HSC

Run by Olivia and Mourad Laroussi. As well as serving hot drinks La Creperie have a deliciously tempting snack and bar menu below which is currently only available from the outside takeaway shack. For more info (including their latest opening hours) click HERE

Membership

Social membership is available to anyone who just wishes to enjoy the benefits of reduced room hire rates, discounts on drinks purchased at the bar as well as discounted tickets for selected club events held throughout the year.

Horsham Cricket Club is a thriving club with 3 Men’s Saturday XIs, Sunday Development XI, Ladies XI, Thursday XI and a Colts Section for boys and girls from U8 to U16. The club also runs mini cricket under the ECB All Stars programme for 5 – 7yr olds. Read More

Horsham Hockey Club is one of the top hockey clubs in the South. There are 6 Ladies and 6 Men’s sides, including ‘Development’ and ‘Vets’ teams. There is also a thriving junior section with over two hundred members, from the age of six upwards. Read More

Horsham Squash Club has three championship glass backed courts with viewing areas. The club runs an adult league, has 3 men’s and a junior team, and holds club tournaments twice a year. Individual and group coaching is available for both adults and juniors. Read More

Horsham Lawn Tennis Club offers tennis for all standards from social and family play to competitive league. There are five all weather hard courts available until 10pm each day. There are four grass courts in use from May to September -11am to dusk-weather permitting.  Individual and group coaching is available for adults and juniors. Read More

Members (over 18) of the sports sections are automatically social members of the main club as part of their sports membership. 

Remember – You don’t have to be a member to enjoy the bar facilities, book a private function at the club or attend a club event but members are able to enjoy special rates for drinks and room hire as well as priority booking and discounted tickets for events. So, whether you want to just come for a drink, watch some cricket, attend one of our music events or hire one of our two function rooms, the club is open to everyone.
