Update from our bar manager….
Monday 17th marks the next steps out of lockdown and into the Bar.
There are a few different rules for us to get our heads around and fall once again on your understanding as we get to grips with the everchanging and sometimes vague regulations.
Good news is you can now come indoors to Wine and Dine. We have 70 socially distanced seats in the recently refreshed Clubrooms to compliment the Oakwood Beer Garden which is now a permanent feature.
These indoor seats will be available on a first come first served basis (priority for members) adhering to the now familiar rule of 6, table service only, with mask wearing when moving around, including using the toilets.
Outside the rules are the same apart from you can now gather in larger groups than six. (Up to 30, unlikely that any of you have that many mates??.)
Groups still have to be table served and separated. If you are intending on descending on us mobhanded, please have the courtesy to let us know.
Booking a table is no longer essential** but we recommend Members letting us know you are coming, so we don’t exceed our venue capacity and see any members miss out.
If you are interested in joining as a social member please visit the membership page here
Please help our staff by complying, remember we didn’t make the rules, but I am the guy who will lose his license if you break them.
On brighter notes you can now legally watch cricket, The squash and tennis courts are back open for members, and the Lawn Tennis courts are in better condition than Wimbledon, thanks to great work from our dedicated and now beautifully bronzed ground staff (Marsh and Lawrence).
The Club office is back to normal opening hours.
The Bar and Creperie are continuing our extended opening hours (still weather and demand dependent).
Hope to see you all very soon
Opening hours for next week (ie w/b 17th May) are as follows (note the hours for the Bar/La Creperie are weather dependent)
Fri: 12pm – 9.30pm
Fri – Sat: 9am-8.30pm
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Tennis, cricket and squash members will be emailed separately regarding updates that apply specifically to their sections.
