Recycling Collection Point at HSC

for ink cartridges, stamps, old cards and milk bottle tops...

One of our longstanding members, Dawn Baker, is involved with several local projects and has asked us to be a collection point for various items that she is able to pass on for recycling – see below for more details from Dawn…

  • The used stamps are going to AGE UK Horsham who get paid per kg for them
  • The bottle tops go to a couple who collect them for The Springboard Project Horsham.  The money raised from these help provide equipment and short breaks for their members and visitors.
  • The cards (any e.g. birthday, anniversary, get well) come to me.  I recycle them into new cards which people who take them giving donations for. *
  • The ink cartridges are recycled for The Horsham Community Responders who receive a £1 for each one

*My charity – Horsham and Shipley Community Project also welcomed its first visit from ‘The Rusty Brains’ – part of Horsham’s Alzheimer Society, and the  group members have the opportunity to also make new cards from the donated ones

The collection boxes are just inside the main reception door and you can leave items there any time that the club is open.
