Horsham Cricket Club

Women and Girls

We have a thriving girls cricket section at Horsham CC and we welcome new members of all abilities into our squads. We provide opportunities for girls to play competitive cricket at U11, U13 and U15 age groups in local leagues and to train and be part of fun, friendly teams. Our U13 and U15 Girls are also entered in the ECB T20 National Cup every year. Our recent successes include winning the U13 Girl’s North Sussex League as well as the U13G SJCF 2022. Our U15 Girls were runners up in the U15G SJCF 2022 and won the Sussex U15G Indoor League 22/23. In 2021 our U11 Girls not only won the Sussex League Cup, but had the opportunity to play in the Southern Regional Finals representing the Southern Vipers. We have a clear pathway for our girls through to playing senior Women’s Cricket and encourage our older girls to get involved in playing in the Sussex Slam in our Women’s Development Squad.

Our girls train indoors on Tuesdays at Christ’s Hospital School over the winter and on Thursday evenings at Horsham Sports Club during the summer season. We are lucky to have experienced coaches dedicated to bringing out the best in the girls. We also encourage any girls that wish to get involved in playing mixed cricket at Horsham to play in their age group.

If you’d like to become part of a really exciting time for girls cricket at Horsham CC please email our Girls Cricket Development Manager Katharine Lee on katharinelee@hotmail.com

The Women compete in the Sussex Premier League (T20 and 40 over matches played on Sundays).

Our Women’s and girls outdoor training starts after the Easter break, weather permitting, at Horsham Cricket Club on Thursdays 6-7.30pm (Start date w/b 17th April 2023)

We have Alan Smith as our Women’s coach, he’s very experienced, having coached and managed a number of Sussex girls age group teams in the past.
